As part of our integrated thermal energy solutions, London Geothermal specialises in the design, development, and deployment of Underground Thermal Energy Storage (UTES) systems, including both Borehole Thermal Energy Storage (BTES) and Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES) configurations.


UTES technologies enable the long-term storage of thermal energy underground — capturing excess heat during summer (from solar PV, CHP, or industrial processes) or cold during winter, and reusing it when it is most needed. This makes them a key enabler of net-zero energy balancing and district-level decarbonisation.
